Today's offering showcases this very cool and pleasing Omega Seamaster c. late 1960's. It has a classic Seamaster case design with a beautiful royal blue vignette dial.
It circa dates to 1968 where it might have laid next to the Speedmaster Professional that were being used in the space program and ultimately would be headed to the Moon.
Powering the watch is Omega's top-tier caliber 565 movement used in Seamasters from the era, and one of the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs It was the top tier offering of the 500 series. It has 24 jewels and a quick-setting date and was one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from era.
It measures 34.5mm in diameter, in between the size of the Rolex Date and the Rolex Datejust.
It has all of its original parts and has just finished a true expertly done restoration.
Its case presents as mint The lines of the lugs remain strong. Its dial has been meticulously restored - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye. On the wrist, it presents as gorgeous mint.
As part of the restoration, it has just been fully overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It winds very smoothly and is running exceptionally strong and true, keeping time better than many brand new Omegas in our testing recording position.
For the finishing touch, it has been equipped with a brand new leather strap and aftermarket Omega style buckle making it ready for immediate enjoyment
Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
